Este edificio se eleva dentro del campus principal de una institución educativa importante, como un elemento emblemático que agrega valor y moderniza su imagen.
Los dos volúmenes macizos de aulas se apoyan en columnas de concreto expuesto sobre una plataforma de madera desenvuelta en escalones que permiten a los estudiantes ingresar y sentarse como en un anfiteatro.
Los volúmenes se conectan a través de puentes metálicos pintados de azul –color representativo del instituto–, que le dan un carácter dinámico al espacio interior, junto con espacios de descanso que cuelgan de los corredores como contenedores.
Se sigue una estética industrial al utilizar materiales como concreto expuesto, barandas de acero perforado, corredores de losa colaborante con tuberías expuestas y espacios de descanso colgantes recubiertos con metal corrugado, junto con láminas de acero microperforado en la fachada, que permiten el paso de la luz sin que el asoleamiento moleste a los alumnos. Todo esto refiere a las carreras técnicas industriales que alberga.
This building is located within the main campus of an important educational institution as a value-added emblematic element and modernizes its image.
Both solid volumes of classrooms are supported with exposed concrete columns over a wooden platform unfolding in steps enabling the students to enter and be seated as in an amphitheater.
The volumes are connected through blue-painted metallic bridges –the institution’s representative color–, which offers a dynamic character to the inside space together with the rest areas hanging from the corridors as containers.
Industrial esthetics is followed using materials such as exposed concrete, perforated steel guardrails, exposed-pipes supporting slab corridors and hanging rest areas covered with corrugated metal with micro-perforated steel sheets in the façade, which enable the passage of light without sunlight bothering the students. All of this refers to the industrial technical careers hosted by the building.
